Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 18th or 19th century, colors and ink on silk, inscription to upper left together with two red seals, a very finely painted still life painting of auspicious items to celebrate the new year, which include lush pink peony blooms in an archaic bronze vessel next to a dish with ripe fruit, a brush pot decorated with pine and crane and containing a sprig of coral, all under a robin's blue crackle vase with elegant yellow chrysanthemums, brocade mount surrounds the painting, presented under glass in a black and gilt frame.

Frame dimensions 57 3/4 x 24 1/4 in., Image size 44 1/4 x 17 3/4 in.

Overall even toning of silk; some tears to silk with loss to lower left; some ares of restoration; some creasing; area of wear with loss to left side of frame; not examined outside of the frame.
