Son of Capt. Ben Dye, was a decoy carver, fisherman, and hunting guide from Maryland. He continued the Chesapeake Bay carving tradition with refined versions of the classic Susquehanna Flats style. His decoys featured distinct neck shelves, paddle tails, and finely detailed bills, often used by local hunters.
Original paint worn to bare wood in some places, tight hairlines in the back of the neck.
