London, circa 1900, rectangular mahogany box with bone eyelet mounts, hinged lid with printed horse race label marked "ASCOT / They're Off/ THE NEW RACING GAME / By LETTERS PATENT MAKERS / JAQUES & SON LONDON," bone mounted crank side handle, open interior with spool wind mechanism pulling six painted cast lead horses to the finish line. Included with the Lot is a miscellaneous component to another equestrian game of the period by F. Hayres Ltd.
