Third quarter 19th century, small portable sewing kit in handled leather case, interior panel lifts to reveal a single comb cylinder music box by B.A. Bremond (Swiss), playing four airs with winding key, retaining "B.A. BREMOND/FABRICANT/GENEVE" label and period tune card, blue silk lined interior with leather straps to hold various sewing tools including: a sterling silver size 9 thimble by Simons Brothers (American) (.2 troy oz) incised with monogram; a metal size 10 thimble; a celluloid thimble and waxer set, likely for waxing thread; a decorated celluloid needle case with detachable thimble and thread winder to interior; (2) bodkins, one bone and the other metal; (4) crochet hooks, (3) bone and (1) wood; a sewing awl with celluloid handle; and a pair of metal scissors; the leather mount to central removable panel once displayed upright the oval leather lined dual sided frame featuring a mirror to one side and a cropped carte de visite of a girl from circa 1863 to the other.

Music box is operating but would benefit from cleaning; underside of box missing one foot; overall wear to leather lined exterior and handles of box; several tears to interior silk lining but remains intact; separation to leather tool straps on lining; some surface wear to celluloid tools but all tools in working condition.
