The first, a pair of George III silver tongs, mark of Hester Bateman, London (circa 1790), featuring acorn bowls and engraved decoration to the handles, monogrammed (5 3/8 in.); the second, a pair of Victorian silver tongs, mark of Henry M Norris, Exeter (1838), monogrammed (5 7/8 in.).
