A Chinese Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe Cuff

Late 19th century, beautifully embroidered cuff from an imperial dragon robe with a frontal facing five claw dragon rendered in gold wrapped thread with fire bands and swirling clouds behind him, presented under glass over black silk ground, with double mats in a black and gilt wood frame with dimpled corners.

Frame dimensions 18 x 23 in., Sight size 9 3/4 x 15 1/2 in.

Good overall condition with some fraying to gold wrapped thread on lower and upper borders; not examined outside of the frame.
