Meiji period (1868-1912), light colored silk thread on black satin ground, each panel embroidered with auspicious birds and flora, includes: pheasant with peonies, crane with chrysanthemums, egret with irises, and rooster with cherry blossoms, each panel is presented framed with black background under glass in black wood frames.


Frame dimensions 41 1/2 x 16 1/4 in.

All panels with losses to satin, some more than others, less obvious due to black ground; not examined outside of the frames.
