A Very Large Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Basin

19th century, interior sides of the bowl are divided into shaped registers with decoration of birds and flowers alternating with scenes of Chinese ladies and gentlemen in outdoor courtyards, the very center of the bowl has a small medallion with flora, exterior sides painted with floral sprays.

5 1/2 in., 16 in. diameter

Repairs with old staples to exterior side; some rubbing with loss to gilt to center of well.
