The uniface note is illustrated in the lower left corner with a hunter and his dog. The text reads "N Carolina Currency / No 8052 Half a Dollar / By the Authority of Congress at Halifax, Apr. 1776." Behind the hunter and above the dog are the words "or miss." Without paper losses, it originally read "hit or miss" when printed.
Private North Carolina Collection Fair condition with losses throughout, however this note is a survivor of our nation's successful bid for independence.
