One of the earliest and most influential graphic artists, Alphonse Mucha's distinctive style helped define the Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the 20th century. Characterized by flowing lines, organic forms, and intricate ornamentation, Art Nouveau emphasized harmony between art and nature across architecture, design, and the visual arts. Mucha’s elegant posters—often featuring idealized female figures surrounded by botanical motifs—became iconic examples of the style.
