Thor Bueno started blowing glass in 1979 while growing up in Southern California. Studying with Italo Scanga, he received a BFA from the University of California at San Diego and an MFA from Alfred University. Thor's solo work ranges from functional-decorative, object as sculpture, to installation and performance based artworks. Thor and his wife, Jennifer, share their studio at Penland.
