Ansel Adams spent much of the 1920s-40s photographing California's Yosemite National Park. He was initially drawn to the landscape because of its serenity, and he found it a place of healing after surviving Spanish influenza in 1919. Adams' black-and-white images continue to play a key role in promoting national parks and advocating for conservation efforts.
Excellent condition; tiny mark that does not penetrate emulsion at upper left (only visible in raking light); mount overall clean and bright with few minor spots.
