Late 19th century, a pair of well cast guardian foo lions with menacing faces, mouths open showing sharp teeth, ears pushed back, their muscular bodies are seated and the female lion holds a baby under her front paw while the male lion holds a ball, fluffy tuffs to end of tails.
Each 6 x 8 x 6 1/2 in.
From the Collection of Madeleine Katavolos, Pinehurst, North Carolina Good estate condition; some scattered surface rubbing and wear; green felt to underside of both lions; some loose casting fragments to the interior.
