Two Fanciful Southeast Asian Carved and Painted Wooden Squirrels

A large and imposing pair of rodents, each holding what is likely a gilt nut.

Both animals have a sizeable vertical crack going from collar to base; some scuffs and minor losses, however the cute factor is hardly impaired.
