19th to early-20th century, (3) Chinese? boxes to include a red and gilt lacquer sweet meat box with (5) trays to interior (9 1/2 in. diameter); a polychrome painted red lacquer rectangular box (12 x 9 1/2 in.); and a
green painted circular box (14 in. diameter).

From the Estate of the late Susan C. Frankenberg, Hillsborough, North Carolina

Sweet meat box: scattered areas of flaking to lacquer mainly to base, paint fading and small water stain to lid, containers on interior with some wear but all present.
Rectangular box: cracking to lacquer and wood at several joints, hinges no longer secured to lid, water staining to whole, scattered nicks and surface marks, loss to mother of pearl inlay to lid, overall gilt rubbing.
Green circular box: scattered small losses and surface scuffs to lacquer, small crack to rim of lid, lid no longer securely fits to base.
