Serial number 225838A present on left side of blued lever-action receiver, text of WINCHESTER MODEL 88 CAL. 308 WIN present on 21 1/2 in. blued steel barrel, dovetail folding rear sight, hooded ramp front sight, detachable box magazine, sling loops, checkered capped pistol grip stock, leather sling.

Overall very good estate condition, bluing strong and dark throughout with slight field marks present, bore is clean and shiny with clean rifling, filister screws in top of action missing, stock finish is healthy albeit somewhat dull, pressed basket weave and oak leaf checkering panels at wrist and forend remain tactile, pistol grip cap display red W character.
