Serial number WC73609 present on underside of blued lever-action receiver, text of BUFFALO BILL COMMEMORATIVE and .30-30 engraved on 26 in. octagon blued steel barrel, full length magazine tube, dovetail rear sight with elevator, dovetail front sight, text of BUFFALO BILL engraved amidst a swirl motif, text of W.F. CODY CHIEF OF SCOUTS engraved on receiver top tang, silver color plated hammer, trigger, loading gate, saddle ring, buttplate and forend cap, smooth walnut buttstock and forend, coin inlay in buttstock with inscription COLONEL WILLIAM F. "BUFFALO BILL" CODY 1840-1917.
