East Lake, North Carolina, circa 1910, carved and painted wood.

Length 28 in.

According to Ray White of Manteo, the Durants Island Club was a great place to hunt waterfowl from 1880 and 1920. After 1920, the waterfowl hunting declined and the club facilities was mainly used for fishing.

Old gunning paint, age checks and wood decay on the bottom of the body, the head appears to be an early working replacement.
