Amanda "Marie Louise" LeBel Knight (1877-1936) was a sportswoman who, with her husband Edward Collings Knight Jr., built the Whalehead Club in Corolla, North Carolina, as a private hunting retreat. She is credited with inspiring the club's creation after being denied membership in all-male hunt clubs, which prompted the couple to build their own lodge.
