Republic Period (1912-1949), includes two playful porcelain figures of boys hand painted in vivid polychrome enamels, the first figure is dressed in an apron decorated with flowers holding a large carp, the second figures is dressed in a robe and pants decorated with cranes, double gourds, and longevity motifs is seated atop a tortoise with his yellow shell decorated with floral patterns, the tortoise itself with snake style head and body in green, blue, yellow, and aubergine.

15 x 13 x 13 in., 14 x 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.

Repair and restoration to neck and foot on largest figure and some glaze slips to front foot of the tortoise; boy holding fish with short hairline to top of head, firing crack to ankle.
