Republic period (1912-1949), porcelain hand painted in purple, blue, white, and iron red with touches of gold, the God of Longevity, Shou Lao, is featured dressed in flowing robes, holding a ruyi head specter, a female attendant carries a tall fan while two boys stand in front of him with arms extended, one offering flowers and the other a bowl, an iron red bat flies overhead, presented in a thick dark brown hardwood frame with shaped hanger at top.

Frame dimensions 17 x 11 1/2 in., Sight size 15 x 9 3/4 in.

Good estate condition; some rubbing and fading to enamels; small spot to lower left of paint; frame has a nick to the lower left corner.
