A Megillah or Esther Scroll is a handwritten scroll containing the biblical Book of Esther, read aloud during the Jewish festival of Purim to recount how Queen Esther and Mordecai saved the Jewish people from Haman’s plot in ancient Persia. It’s considered a sacred text, and hearing every word read is a central part of the holiday’s observance.

When housed in a silver filigree case, the scroll becomes both a protected sacred object and a piece of Judaica art. The intricate silverwork shields the fragile parchment and elevates its ritual significance. Such cases are valued for their craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and symbolic role, often becoming treasured heirlooms passed down through generations.

Good estate condition, wear from use. Leland Little is not able to guarantee the parchment is kosher.
