Serial number 1054 present on trigger guard, text of WILLIAM CASHMORE MAKER STEELHOUSE LANE BIRMINGHAM present on smooth top rib of 30 in. browned damascus barrel with single bead, text of 2 1/2" NP 3 TONS present on barrel flats, engraved coin patina boxlock action receiver, ejectors, double triggers, automatic safety, straight grip checkered walnut buttstock with checkered cheek and drop points, checkered walnut splinter forend, stock oval, lined factory buttplate.

Overall very good estate condition, bores are bright and shiny, barrels ring with a clear church bell tone, barrel to action fit is tight, traditional browned damascus barrel finish shows attractive hue and contrast, heron engraved scenes with rose and scroll and border engraving, pivot top lever, W. ANSON PATENT 17700 forend mechanism, well figured buttstock, buttstock and forend finishes are healthy with scattered scuffing and dents in finish surfaces, fine LPI checkering patterns are dry and largely healthy, ornate three panel forend checkering pattern, drop point at buttstock wrist a slightly worn yet clearly present.
