Republic period (1912-1949), a large porcelain figure of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Guanyin, standing on a lotus blossom enveloped with swirling waves, she wears loose robes and her hair in a stylized chignon, her eyes are downcast in meditation, she wears a beaded necklace with a lotus blossom to center, her left hand is raised in the welcoming mudra while her right hand cradles a
ruyi head scepter, with two impressed kiln artist seals to her upper back.
