Meiji period (1868-1912), a finely crafted Japanese bronze vase with cloisonné enamel decoration, of tapered cylindrical form with a flared neck and foot, the body features a low-relief design of lotus flowers and leaves above stylized water, rendered in rich green, pink, and turquoise enamel against a dark brown patinated bronze ground, the neck and base are adorned with intricate polychrome cloisonné enamel bands, the upper with a lozenge pattern and pendant lappets, the foot with conforming enamel petals.

29 1/4 x 16 x 16 in.

Scattered small areas of enamel loss; some denting to bronze; areas of possible repair to interior.
