Serial number 565896 present on belly of lever action receiver, text of WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 present on receiver top tang, text of MANUFACTURED BY WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. 38-55 present on 23 in. round blued steel barrel with full length magazine tube, dovetail front sight, dovetail rear sight with elevator, smooth walnut buttstock and forend, curved steel buttplate.
