An enormous porcelain charger with barbed rim, hand painted in the Imari palette with two large bands of decoration encircling a central image of a bountiful bouquet of flowers in a coin motif vase with ribbon at top, the outlying bands of decoration include shaped registers containing flora against a vivid blue ground, the outside band of decoration with
ruyi motifs in red against bright pattern ground alternating with shaped reserves containing pomegranates, unglazed to the underside.
