Edo and Meiji period, 19th century, includes two woodblock prints, the first by Utagawa Sadahide (Japanese, 1807-1873), Foreign Merchants in Yokohama showing a Chinese and a European merchant (Frame dimensions 20 1/4 x 16 1/2 in.; Sight size 13 1/4 x 9 1/4 in.)(rubbing and wear to surface; fading to color; dirt and scattered marks to surface; not examined outside of the frame), and the second a book illustration printing of boats (Frame dimensions 16 1/4 x 20 3/4 in.; Sight size 9 1/4 x 13 3/4 in.)(Light toning to paper; some fading to ink; some wear with small stain to lower right corner; not examined outside of the frame).
