Cromwell, CT, patented 1901, designed by Charles A. Bailey, painted cast iron, to use bank: place a coin on the red table, press lever to lower left and the magician lowers his hat to cover the coin, release lever to find that the coin has disappeared into the bank, underside stamped "PATD JAN 22 1901". This lot includes the original purchase receipt and catalogue from Bill Bertoia Auction's Stanley P. Sax Collection sale from May 2, 1998.
