Antique 16KT Gold Derby Handled Walking Stick

Late 19th / early 20th century, heavily chased gold derby handle with floral and palmette motifs, presentation cartouche reading "Presented to Edward Ayers from S. D. Binney", gold with marker's mark of Simons Brothers of Philadelphia, "R" within a circle, and "77", over an ebonized wood shaft with brass tipped end.
