The first image is a composite photograph with A. P. Hill, Richard Ewell, Braxton Bragg, Albert Sidney Johnson, John Magruder, Sterling Price and Leonidas Polk; following sitters include R. E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, A. P. Hill, James Longstreet, Jefferson Davis, Albert Sidney Johnston, P.G.T. Beauregard, John Hunt Morgan, Richard Ewell, a second R. E. Lee, and a second Albert Sidney Johnson. The civilians are largely postwar men and women with a few war-date CDVs present. The last CDV is a tableaux showing three Confederate flags. Resting opposite, on the back endpaper, is a small rebel "Bible flag" modeled after the Confederacy's first national flag.
