American, circa 1900, Howe Scale Company, painted cast iron and metal mercantile scale, includes original mechanisms and (2) weights, marked variously with "HOWE" and serial numbers.

28 1/2 x 24 1/4 x 17 in.

Retaining most of its original red and gold paint; not tested; scattered staining and small areas of rusting consistent with age.
