Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1880, painted cast iron, to use bank: place coin in the elephant's mouth and press lever, the elephant will eat the coin by pushing it into his mouth with his trunk as a small wooden man pops out from the howdah door.
With howdah door open as is: 6 3/8 x 2 1/2 x 6 3/4 in.
