Frankfort, Pennsylvania, designed by Louis Kyser and Alfred C. Rex, patented 1882, painted cast iron, to use bank: place coin on monkey's tray, turn the crank clockwise to activate spinning dog and cat, the monkey will tip its hat and deposit the coin in the organ bank, all the while a chime tune will play, stamped with partially visible patent date to posterior.
7 1/4 x 6 x 4 1/8 in.
From a Prominent Collector, Aiken, South Carolina Mechanism partially operation at time of evaluation, monkey's hat will catch on its head; old paint with areas of loss and dust spotting.
