Meiji period (1868-1912), brown cast vases with warm dark brown patinated surface, the lobed body of each vase is cast in relief with birds amidst plum blossoms branches, mythical beast head handles flank the necks of each, scalloped rim, drilled and fitted as lamps, set into wooden bases with metal mounts.
25 1/2 in., 9 in. diameter
Good estate condition; vases not examined outside of lamp mounts; untested.
