Private Collection, Chapel Hill, North Carolina F&C Osler was a 19th-century British glassmaking firm founded in 1807, renowned for its exquisite cut-glass chandeliers, candelabra, and other decorative items like fountains and furniture. The company, established by Thomas Osler and later run by his sons Follett and Clarkson, gained international acclaim and received numerous royal commissions, particularly from Indian maharajas and figures like Queen Victoria. The firm's work was characterized by its high quality and elaborate design, and while it closed its factory in 1922, the company continued on a smaller scale until 1976.
