Late 19th century, brass mounted with dual side handles and tambour top, the silvered escutcheon engraved with dedication to "Rob.t F. Low / Arbroath" opening to a tan gilt leather writing service, featuring a lower drawer that activates the tambour top, opening to a divided interior with lidded compartments and removable central mirror, interior retaining some provenance and repair documents, with key.

Good estate condition; some light repair work in 1989, as indicated on the accompanying paperwork; scattered light surface scratches; later leather.
