A Chinese Mahjong Set in Custom Wood Box

Early 20th century, a Chinese Mahjong set in a wooden dovetailed case with decorative metal mounts, sliding front cover with two Chinese characters in green, shaped carrying handles to the top, five graduated drawers containing bone and bamboo playing pieces, consisting of 140 decorated tiles, 4 blank tiles, and numerous counters and dice.

Full set of Mahjong tiles; some warping to wood case; crack and loss to front and back wood panels; lifting to hardware; bending and loss to one drawer pull.
