Admiral Fitzroy's Mahogany Barometer

Circa 1880s, the instrument comprising long mercury tube, thermometer and storm glass, and paper dial, within architectural mahogany and glass case with fluted columnar stiles, surmounted by a stepped cornice with rising three finial pediment.

47 1/4 x 10 1/4 x 2 1/2 in.

Some minor areas of shrinkage to veneers; age toning to paper dial; storm glass appears to be empty; unknown if in proper working condition. Please note that due to the presence of mercury, this item cannot be shipped.
