England, late 19th century, carved oak and glass case, the form resembling a ship's telegraph, with large round 10-inch dial with dual scales behind glass with brass bezel, above a rectangular encased cistern, with central mercury tube, storm "Chemical" glass with mirror backing, and two thermometers.
42 1/2 x 12 x 3 1/2 in.
Pediment missing finial; crack to upper glass; some surface scratches to case; spotting to metal; dust soiling to interior; ink inscription instructions to backing likely later; unknown if in proper working condition. Please note that due to the presence of mercury, this item cannot be shipped.
