Period mark circa 1873-1891, pattern number 8839, directorship of Edward Moore; featuring allover figural acid etched decoration including a blacksmith to the lid, a pair of figures shaking hands inscribed with the Robert Burns quote "And there's a hand my trusty Friend"; and a man at of a desk to the verso, and acanthus leaves to the base; with a repousse frieze above the base, an ornately decorated handle, and gold wash interior, 3 1/2 pint capacity, not monogrammed.
