A stocky yellowlegs which was collected in Nags Head but originally came from a boat captain who operated out of Oregon Inlet, North Carolina. It may have been used in the Pea Island area where shorebirds were prevalent, originally had two wire legs.

Original paint with moderate gunning wear, hit by shot, bill is likely an early replacement.
