Purchased in 1983 from Vickie Midgett, Pharoah's granddaughter.

Midgett was born and raised in the small community south of Rodanthe. He market hunted the reefs out in the sound. None of his duck decoys survived. For over fifty years, he had an affinity for hunting shorebirds.

Original paint with moderate gunning wear, hit by shot, head slightly lifted and stable, working repair to the base of the neck on the right side.
