A Pair of Chinese Yellow Ground Ginger Jars with Flowers

Republic period (1912-1949), rotund shaped jars hand painted with plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, peonies, and lotus blossoms in pink and blue against a sgraffito incised yellow glazed ground, with inset covers having iron red round finials to top, unmarked.

Each 9 1/2 in., 9 1/2 in. diameter

Chip near rim to one jar; some restoration and repainting around areas of the rim on both jars; old tape remains at the rim of the jar.
