Rob Amberg's work documents communities, landscapes, and vernacular culture in the Appalachian region. Working primarily in western North Carolina since the 1970s, Amberg has focused on long-term, collaborative projects that examine place, memory, and social change. His best-known bodies of work include the Sodom Laurel Album, a multi-decade photographic and oral history project centered on a Madison County community, and Flood along the River of Heaven, documenting the 2004 floods in southern Appalachia.

Good condition when viewed under raking light; some sheet waviness isolated to edges and two tiny corner nicks; some slight toning along upper margin edge.
