Serial number 44180 present on single-shot hammer action, text of U.S. Model 1884 present on loading color case hardened bolt, text of U.S. SPRINGFIELD and bald eagle present on lock plate, arsenal marks present on 20 in. barrel with elevation and windage adjustable rear sight, dovetail front sight, wood stock with curved steel buttplate. and light arsenal stamp of 1888.

Overall fair estate condition, metal surfaces show some wear and surface rust, bore is frosted with rifling visible, barrel and action timing marks are aligned, damage to barrel from adjustment of front dovetail sight, stock sporterized, stock finish is present and largely healthy having been previously restored.
