HAYMAKER LONDON present on smooth top rib of 28 in. blued barrel with single bead, nitro 1 1/8oz and 3 TON markings on water tables, text HENRY ATKIN surrounded by acanthus scroll engraving present on sides of highly polished boxlock ejector action receiver, blued bottom plate, GREENER cross-bolt third fastener, automatic safety, ejectors, double triggers, checkered walnut straight grip buttstock with drop points and leather covered recoil pad, checkered walnut splinter forend.

Overall good estate condition, barrel bluing is dark and complete and showing light field marks and very few old pits, bores are bright and shiny, barrel tone is somewhat muted, barrel to receiver fit is tight, polished receiver engraving is clearly legible and remains largely crisply defined, well chosen walnut stock set and finely checkered, checkering remains dry with three line borders, drop points remain articulate, wood finish is slightly heavy appearing, recoil pad leather is healthy yet dry.
