Late Qing dynasty and Republic period, includes a porcelain vase hand-painted in underglaze blue with elegant ladies under banana trees, a border of bats above and below, the vase is drilled and set as a lamp with single lightbulb fixture, fitted into a carved wooden base, presented with a silk lampshade and topped with a polished amethyst finial (23 1/2 in., 13 in. diameter, Vase only 10 in.)(Vase drilled and fitted as a lamp; vase not examined outside of the lamp mounts), and a porcelain vase hand-painted in underglaze blue with scholar figures in reserves surrounded by plum blossom ground, the jar is drilled and set as a lamp with single lightbulb fitting; set into a carved wooden base, presented with a silk lampshade and topped with a carved hardstone finial (19 in., 11in. diameter, Jar only 5 1/2 in.)(Jar drilled and fitted as a lamp; jar not examined outside of the lamp mounts).
