Tiffany's Persian pattern was designed by Edward C. Moore and introduced to the public in 1872. Moore was the creative force behind Tiffany & Co. in the second half of the 19th century. He was an avid collector of art and design objects, whose collection was the focus of an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Collecting Inspiration: Edward C. Moore at Tiffany & Co.
