Circa second half 18th century, unsigned (XRF tested 925), the body cleverly formed of linked bands of scales which can curve to imitate a real fish, trailing a large whiskered head with pink glass cabochon eye mounts. Together with the Christie's London catalog from 2005, featuring the work.
